Every piece is handcrafted in our Stikland workshop. Here’s how long things take, and what affects the timing.
Our products are lovingly handmade by skilled carpenters in our family-run factory in Stikland, Cape Town. Every piece is designed and built here in South Africa — from solid wood kids beds to desks and tables and storage.
Manufacturing time is calculated from the date your payment clears and the order is processed. Lead times exclude public holidays and weekends.
| Category | Lead time |
|---|---|
| Wall shelves, smaller toy items, clothing rails, bedding | 2–4 weeks |
| Toy items, slides, piklers, rockers, dressing tables, small toy boxes | 4–6 weeks |
| Table sets | 3–6 weeks |

Spray-painted, custom-stained and large-volume orders may take longer. Detailed bespoke bunks vary by design.
Load shedding. The dreaded South African word. It can disrupt manufacturing for us and our raw material suppliers. We do our best to work around it but it can occasionally cause delays.
Custom finishes. Spray painting, stains and unusual paint colours add to base lead times. We’ll always confirm an honest timeline before production begins.
Large or bespoke orders. Multi-piece orders and one-off custom designs take longer than standard products. Lead times are confirmed when the order is placed.
Shipping — separate from manufacturing. Once production is complete, our shipment partners take 4–8 working days to deliver outside Cape Town. Local Cape Town deliveries take 2–4 working days.
Most of our pieces are made from SA Pine, Supawood, Ash or Oak, unless otherwise stated. We choose the timber for each piece based on strength, finish and the way it takes paint or stain.
Our spray-painted pieces are finished in premium child-safe PU paint with international safety certification — rated safe even on furniture children chew. The same coatings clean easily, resist scuffs and wear well over years of family life.
